Tourist Bob starts his patrol walking by the local tent eateries on the way to the Jeepney area in town here, opting for the other iconic form of awkward Filipino transportation, instead of the 3-wheeled variety we’ve come to grow so fond of. Riding shotgun next to the driver, he gives us a Jeepney’s-eye view of the bumpy trip up this seedy oh-so-famous Boulevard, popular for its daytime expat hangouts. After jumping off the Jeepney and walking just a few yards, he finds himself immersed in a typical Filipino neighborhood, with people walking about and intermittent chicken crowing.
