While it is technically more accurate to say “Filipina”, Filipino rhymes better with “emo” and is still widely used referring to either sex. Why the “emo” thing though? Well, Charo here just has that “emo” look to her. The short, choppy hair, the large, colorful tattoos and the sparkly nose piercing; those all give her that “emo” style which is unusual for Filipinas.
